Dear Wildcat Family,

Welcome to Wayland Union Middle School! Our state of the art building houses approximately 450 students grades 7th & 8th. We remain committed to the fact that the middle school years are a transitional period for students, parents, and families. The Staff at WUMS understands the impact these years have on both academic and personal growth. We are committed to addressing these individual needs in order to enhance their educational experiences during adolescence.

Through the 7th-12th grade and staff 1:1 iPad initiative, our staff members utilize technology in order to enhance learning activities and provide our students with innovative educational experiences. Students are challenged and inspired daily in a number of venues which include academics, athletics, or extra-curricular activities. It is our hope that these students will enter high school and college with the skills they will need to become successful professionals and contribute to our community.

Wayland Union Middle School has consistently made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) over the past several years.  Our staff is continuously working to improve student achievement results in all content areas. We appreciate the continued support of parents, staff and our community in lifelong learning process.
